A referral program is kind of a marketing strategy that allows existing customers to refer friends for free rides.
Nearly, 62 percent of their new users come from referrals, according to a report. This strategy has helped them grow quickly and is also very competitive with traditional taxis.
- Increasing Number of Ride-Hailing Apps: Many taxi companies in the US have grown quickly because of their innovative moves. They have introduced many new features in their mobile app that has made them attract more customers.
For example, the taxi booking App like Uber has made people compare prices and choose the type of taxi services they need. They’re used to make payments within the app. Hence, using the app, consumers can now order cabs directly from their phones without having to call a taxi company!
Therefore, these factors have led the competition in the taxi industry. The competition has also led to the growth of the market.
